Track: Pediatric Cardiology & Congenital Heart Diseases

Cardiology Summit 2026

Pediatric Cardiology is a branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiac diseases in children ranging in age from infancy to adolescence. Pediatric cardiologists focus on diagnosing and treating young patients with congenital heart abnormalities, acquired heart conditions, and other cardiac problems. The aim of pediatric cardiology is to provide the child with the best quality of life that he or she can have knowing that he or she has a heart problem. They offer complete cardiac treatment, including pediatric-specific diagnostic tests, medicinal therapy, interventional procedures, and surgical interventions.

Congenital Heart Diseases (CHD) are diseases and structural defects of heart and large blood vessels which are present at the time of birth. Some of these anomalies can encompass the heart’s walls, valves or blood vessels, consequently influencing blood circulation and oxygen supply to the entire body. The symptoms of CHD can range from mild or nonexistent and not requiring any treatment to severe and requiring surgery. Common types of CHD include Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), and Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). Prevention and timely treatment is important when it comes to controlling symptoms and therefore encouraging enhanced life prospects of affected individuals.
