Claudio L Pereira da Cunha was graduated at Medical School in the Federal University of Paraná – Brazil. He got the MS degree in the same University, the PhD course in the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – Brazil and was a Research Fellow on Cardiovascular Diseases at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota – USA. He was an Assistant Professor and later on a Full Professor of Cardiology in the Federal University of Paraná – Brazil. He was the head of the Department of Cardiology for 23 years. He participated in many researches, had 40 investigators under his orientation to get MS and PhD degrees. He has more than 100 publications and 300 conferences at meetings of Cardiology and has been serving as an editorial board member of reputed journals. He have 50 years of experience in the field of cardiology.

Claudio L Pereira da Cunha's research interest focuses on cardiovascular medicine, with particular emphasis on coronary heart disease, acute myocardial infarction, and left ventricular dynamics. His work also encompasses echocardiography and the assessment of cardiac function through advanced diagnostic approaches. He is further interested in clinical cardiology, internal medicine, and cardiovascular research aimed at improving the diagnosis and management of heart disease.
