The therapeutic effectiveness of certain non-drug treatment methods in people with hypertension disease
Abstract
Introduction: Preventing the occurrence of cardio-vascular and cerebrovascular events is crucial for improving the quality of life. One of the main targets of preventive treatment is hypertension disease. Despite the existence of many recommendations for primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events, there is a need to improve the quality of life of people with hypertension disease.
Methodology: Was conducted a clinical study to evaluate the long–term clinical effectiveness of hemodynamic parameters – blood pressure, pulse, cardiac output in people with hypertension disease, examined by a cardiologist and diagnosed with hypertension disease. Those hemodynamic parameters which reached normal indicators or improved by 30% or more counted an improved. The clinical trial was initiated after receiving ethical approval and lasted 1 year. The study involved 134 people aged 18 to 70 years without significant organic pathology. All patients received basic therapy of the Mayrveda Kislovodsk 5* wellness programs: Mayer therapy (Mayer nutrition, Mayer abdominal chiropractic, intake of mineral water and magnesium sulfate) and vacuum autohemotherapy of the back (vacuum massage). They were divided into 4 groups: the first – intake of organic remedies; the second – acupuncture; the third – biopuncture; the fourth – organic remedies, acupuncture, biopuncture.
Results: with a combination of non-drug treatment methods, the effectiveness of hypertension disease treatment increased. In the first group, there was a reliable improvement in hemodynamic parameters at +47%, at +28% there was no reliable improvement in hemodynamic parameters, +25% of hemodynamic parameters did not improve. In the second, accordingly – +40%, +35%, +25%. In the third, there was no reliable improvement in hemodynamic parameters. In the fourth group, there was a reliable improvement in hemodynamic parameters – +85%, +10%, +5%, accordingly.
Conclusion: The results obtained indicate that the combination of three non-drug treatment methods has a reliable significant improvement in hemodynamic parameters, regardless of the degree and stage of hypertension disease. Such potentiation is most likely due to a polymodal nonlinear mediator effect on the autonomic nervous system and vascular tone due to acupuncture and organic remedies. And organic changes in blood vessels and the heart due to biopuncture.
